I would be much more shocked if Mikey blasts out Salido than I will if Salido blasts out Mikey. If it goes the distance I think it favors Mikey, but that's a big "IF". Salido could definitely bust the kid up, hope not, but very possible.

Agreed bro, Mikey can definitely have some shit that we havent seen (like you said no one really took him there) but Salido is definitely gonna make him show what he has. I think fundamentally hes a more solid boxer than Salido but im not sure hes gonna be able to keep him at the distance he wants him at, and Orlando is most likely gonna make him fight the way he wants to and Mikey probably wont win that kind of fight

I'm wavering here, but right now I'm leaning the same way. I get the feeling that Saldio's swarming style will offset Garcia, who likes to fight at a more methodical pace. |

An ATG Prime and Young True Mexican Warrior like Juan Manuel Marquez couldn't KO Salido, what makes you think an untested young Chicano will be able to KO Salido?

Mikey's hope in this fight, is that I think he's a better puncher than many are giving him credit for, I think he could cause Salido to slow down some and earn his respect.

To beat Salido, a guy who isn't gonna give you a chance to breath, you need firepower and workrate (to hang with him and gain his respect), the latter of which Mikey isn't known for. Salido also isn't a typical come foward brawler. He utilizes a lot of movement, crouches, bobs and weaves his head, and uses angles. That type of rythym fucks with classic boxers like Garcia.
Garcia loses this one. He'll get blitzed and possibly buckle under the pressure. Robert's gonna throw in the towel sometime around the 8th round to preserve the youngster for a future run. Salido TKO8 Garcia |

Exactly. The question mark is his grit, and I expect he does have it inside him. But my doubts are more technical than they are psychological. He may have the heart to fight back but not the experience to out-do Salido in exchanges up close.

Let's not forget he also won a unanimous decision against Robert Guerrero, dropped and went the distance with Gamboa, and went the distance in a competitive fight against Juan Manuel Marquez. |
