Majority of people here put jmm down cause he looked like an amateur against a bigger fighter with the longer reach and faster reflexes.Mind you the fight was at welter?Would Floyd ever do some shit like this? Not until he finds his balls.Martinez is knocking on flyds door but Floyd wants Andre dirrel to answer.Jmms ranks above may weather all time in Gness.

Marquez had no fear of being obliterated by a slightly bigger Mayweather who doesn't routinely do much rehydrating, just outboxed. And that's exactly what happened. |

Pure idiocy. Why dont you call him a fucking coward because he won't challenge Dawson, Cloud, Bute, Cleverly et al. Does it sicken all you Pactards that much that Mayweather has NEVER demanded weight stips like your pathetic little Fillipino fuckwit has? Get another thing straight. In much the same way JMM has got the measure of the Fillipino dwarf, Mayweather has totally got Marquez's number. He could have Stephen Hawkins devising a strategy and still lose, no matter how inactive Mayweather is JMM just couldn't beat him in ten lifetimes. |

He is a warrior, he is not exactly ducking floyd is he? And going around demanding a rematch when you lost 12-0 does not make you a warrior.

Pointless rematch. Mayweather's style is all-wrong for Marquez who was gutsy enough to fight him as his first fight at the weight, how many would do that? He could make a lot of money and have a greater chance fighting Pacquiao again. Besides, Pacquiao gave him 4 shots when he didn't need to. Pacquiao could have cruised away from Marquez back in 2004 like Morales and Barrera did but he didn't, so Marquez will surely give Pacquiao another shot.

Maybe because there was nothing in the first fight, that says Marquez will do any better in a second fight against Floyd. Unlike the Pac fights, Marquez put up one hell of a fight all four times against him. Floyd completely shut Marquez down all 12rds. Marquez is older then he was before and still slower then Floyd. He will loose and I'm sure he knows that. His beef was with Pac and he handled that. He should just retire and enjoy the rest of his life, knowing that he did something that Floyd did not, and that's KO Manny Pacquiao.

Pacquiao and Marquez should fight each other a 5th time and then retire. The reason I feel they need a fifth, is because Pacquiao granted Marquez the third and fourth fights, when he already got the wins in the second and third. Marquez has to respect that, and grant Manny a rematch now he's the winner - These two are like Ali - Frazier, Holyfield-Bowe, Leonard-Hearns, Morales-Barrera, their legacies are intertwined, you can't mention one without bringing up the other.
On the topic of Mayweather-Marquez 2, let's be objective. Marquez is a great thinker in the ring, that night he had 12 rounds to effect any sort of effective strategy against Mayweather and came up with nothing. It wasn't the weight that inhibited him, it was the style and the level, Mayweather is simply too good for Marquez. |
