Carl Froch. I still can't call myself a fan of his, although I have a lot of respect for him. I gained when he was humble after his loss to Andre Ward and also the fact that he will fight anyone and has fought very tough competition over the past few years.

Khan. Still pisses me off from time to time but I became something of a fan post-Maidana.
Used to think Manny was an unthinking brawler until I started noticing the little tricks he does and respected him more. Used to dislike Floyd until I examined his entire body of work. Used to dislike Ward for butting Kessler and seemingly damaging him, but now he's one of my favorite fighters to watch, and I respect him as a man. Froch wasn't someone I disliked, but he grew on me a bit more. |

It's kind of a tricky question. I think it boils down not so much to me finding my way through the fog and discovering I actually now admire and like these fighters; it's probably more accurate to say that my view on them has softened now because time has rolled on and I'm not judging them in the present tense, which always has a harsher tinge to it. Judging them at a distance now, they seem more pleasantly backlit by time, as they stand only as reminders of an era I recall fondly.

I have an unreasoning and unrelenting dislike for guys that fought in the Olympics...Ali, RJJ, Holyfield, taylor, Whitaker, every one of them. I have managed to convince myself that Frazier did not actually fight in the olympics or I'd hate him too.
A ton of respect for them, but I don't like them. |

Manny Pacquiao, for obvious reasons.
For some reason I never used to like Chavez. I had this idea that he was a brawler with limited technique or ability. Boy, how wrong can one man be. The man was exceptional. |
