I think he is getting a hell of alot of attention for someone who won a bronze medal. I dont agree with angel garcia often but i think he was right when he said we go over board if a fighter wins a medal that isnt gold.

who the fuck is he? And defiantly who the fuck was he then? It's like someone just wants him to be a celebrity. As if someone sees him as marketable for some other reason. Maybe birds like him or something i don't know but boxing wise i can't see any outstanding potential in him at all. None. He didn't show any skill either. None. He looked pretty shit (for his hype) in the Olympics to me and was lucky to even win bronze. And I don't think he has the termperment or personality to be tough enough to be much of a fighter. Then again you don't make Olympic boxing teams if you can't fight..or do you? |

He really had to dig deep to qualify, after coming back from injury he went to Turkey & was behind on points in the critical fight before coming back to win. The kid is talented, has heart & can fight. He wont be a world champion but he'll do ok. |

So Great Britain went from a crap nation that never won anything in the Olympics. Getting battered allo'wer tha place every 4 years, by Kenyan distance runners, the Yanks and the Aussies. Every event. Whether it be track and field, or in the pool. Utterly hopeless.
But that shit all changed when they got it in London, by heck did it change. What they didnt show you, was what was going on OFF the track and behind closed doors. I personally dont think any medal GB won was legit. It was the most bias, one sided, corrupt games I think I have ever seen. But because it happened in London, it makes it all alright. What a complete and utter load of dog crap on top of Victoria Sponge that brainwash olympics was. Anthony Joshua "Gold medalist" Boat races getting stopped after they started because GB broke their own boat. Eliminated GB athletes getting reinstated. |

This guy is terrible and has literally no boxing IQ to work off of.
Typical hype job who has some athleticism and speed to get past the bums but no further than that in my opinion. Then he says things like this: "I like to think of myself as something of a pioneer [for signing with Golden Boy]," said Ogogo. "I met with a few different promoters but when I met [CEO] Richard Schaefer he captivated me - and I told him that I wanted to become a superstar. "After the Olympics I had a little break and then went back to the ring in Sheffield and did some training. But then I sat on the apron, looked around and thought I don't want to do this for another four years, I want something different. "The Olympic Games was so good and I want more of that; I want to be involved with the big names, the glitz and the excitement, and hopefully I'll get back to the boxing ring towards the end of April." ...And you just know that Boxing is all wrong for him especially at some sort of higher level. I will look forward to making some good money against him when he steps up to a reasonably solid opponent. |

He is good, not great. He has heart and some skill so I think he's the sort of fighter who could overachieve with a disciplined, point stealing style. I don't see him ever being world class unless he develops some more power and a better chin. That Brazillian fighter and Khytrov both seriously rocked him in the olympics.

Please provide reasoning for why EACH medal won by GB was not legit ?
If you cannot, please try and refrain from making such idiotic statements Did Ben Ainsley control the wind and elements to pull in his favour ? Did Mo Farah juice ? well ? Ogogo got gifted some decision yes, but is that a British Olympic problem ?? Isn't gift decisions a problem in boxing full stop ? Silly boy |

He got the gig whit GB because of his marketability. He's not all that talented but because of his stint at Big Brother and the subway ads people generally know him in the UK. He'll attract viewers, make a bit of money fighting bums but he'll never amount to much simply because of his level of talent.
Hope I'm proven wrong though. |
