Silly move if it happens. Lyon is an integral part of Manly playing outside good halves. He'll get nothing like that at the Gold Coast and will just come off as a money hungry whore.

Gold Coast would boast probably the best centers in the comp but will Get fuck all quality ball.

Win win for me though as it'll weaken Manly considerably, and Gold Coast don't have the halves to capitalise on it.

long term id choose Jennings any day, you can have Lyon, his best years were with manly.

Lyon is almost twice the player Jennings is, and more of a role model off field too. You only have to see how Manly struggled without him to see how influential he was to them. Jennings however played 90% of the season and still couldn't get his team out of wooden spoon territory.

Lyons a far smarter player too, but doesn't too many years left in him. Still, an ageing disciplined smart role model is worth more than an erratic poor defensive ill disciplined alco.

Can't see Lyon moving away from Manly right now, as he's sold his old place in Newport and is currently building a new house in Warriewood, plus his kids are all settled in school around that area.

He means alot to manly, any other team he wouldnt lift them half as much, and although Lyon was better then jennings, his time is almost up and wouldnt be worth signing him...
