Chakhkiev has been named mandatory for the Euro belt and Kluch said he's starting negotiations. Rakhim will be starting a training camp in a week.
What are your thoughts of them fighting at this stage of their careers, on the matchup inside the ring and who do you think wins? |

this should be a world title fight, both guys have shakey defenses, but Chakhiev always comes forward like a bull and has a big punch, while Masternak has that slickness and throws shots at really odd angles, though call this one, but a fight I would definitely watch

as i said, i would love this one to be a title shot one day, maybe even an eliminator for the WBC belt held by Wlod, both guys repeatedly said they want to fight him |

Tough fight to call. If Masternak can effectively keep Czakiev off him, and keep him from rushing in, I think he can outpoint him. But whether he can do that or not is another story.
Seems as though the fight will not be happening, according to the last article I read on ringpolska which quoted Master that he got a letter from EBU that unibrow relinquished his rights to be a pretender for that title. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] |

I think losing to Chakhkiev will ultimately help improve Masternak.
He'll conventionalize his defense (at least when stepping up against elite cruisers) and rebound from the experience to probably go on to some success. It will be a setback but not a devastating one. Right now, it's Chakhkiev's time to claim the throne of the division. There's a piece for Masternak down the line though. He'll at least be a titlist. (whereas Chakhkiev will probably unify a few belts) |

My feeling is Chakhiev will be too much for Masternak. TKO midfight.
I hope they make this fight and it gets mandatory eliminator status from the WBC. Chakhiev is #3 and Masternak is #9. |
