Come on DF. You got to admit Frankie should be well beyond this kind of guy after 4 years as a pro. I am more frustrated with that than the performance which was as you say impressive.....although I would say more decent.
Theres so many good fights at 147. Next fight has to be a step up. |

Go on, tell me all about the supermodels you've nailed, we'll all pretend to be impressed, and then you can get back to shoring up your insecurities again. |

I found it slightly worrying that the Frankspawn said he'd be back out again in April. It's too long surely. He says he's over his problems, wants to fight, wants to win the British outright, the European, and be in line for a world title shot by the end of the year. Well at that rate he might get 3 more fights this year, so he'll be doing well to fit all that in.

It's like a gift of some kind. Yes, he should be further along than he is. He isn't though, for well-known personal reasons that few people would be able to deal with while continuing any sort of serious career. If you ignore the context of why things happen, you're not really making a valid point. If in another year's time he's still fighting these guys, I'll be right with you. But I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. You've had a hard on for Frankie for a long time now, so a lot of your views feel like you justifying that position while giving him no credit. |

My frustrations were increased as I heard Bunce echo the words "He is being promoted brilliantly" when refering to Frankie a moment ago while listening to the William Hill podcast at the gym. Also called it "The best British Welterweight title fight since Young Mutley vs Michael Jennings"

And for a fighter who has been very inactive (and with his particular promoter), I think it's ok as long as he's got a good outing next time.

Bless Bunce, he does try so hard. I just ignore that shit - same as when The Ring says Adrien Broner is one of the best ten fighters in the world. |
