I consider myself a hardcore boxing fan and have previously not enjoyed Prizefighter bar a few of them.
I'm expecting stick on here for this...But I fucking loved tonight's, I thought the formula was bang on. |

This is how it ought to be done. A preponderance of true young hungry up-and-comers (preferably with zeroes on the line) and a few vets sprinkled in.

I didn't watch it, I can take or leave it but the way some people go on is o.t.t as Eddie said there's 6 per year, Just because there's 2 in opening months doesn't mean they will have loads just a bigger gap till the next one in April.
It has it's positives, Fighters have catapulted themselves into domestic and european fights and even more! or got there career back up and going. For as messy and boring as it can be it's changed plenty of lives for the better. When it's done well it's a good nights entertainment. |

Prizefighter tonight showed me 3 real contenders for the future, Chad Gaynor, Dale Evens and glynn foot, any one of these fighters is capable of beating the other. in a one to one fight over 8 rounds, pity a few lost the 0 but they can come again and it gave them good exposure, i for one really enjoyed it.

It was the perfect night for them, I think. When Hearn was thinking of the concept, I'm sure these are the nights he had in mind, rather than the ugly, scrappy, spoiling nights because of guys like Junior Witter. If Prizefighter is going to be more endearing to all fans, I think they need to focus on young talent rather than bringing in the former champions, who very rarely deliver. I know this makes it harder to sell the shows but from an entertainment viewpoint, 6 guys who all have something to prove and are desperate for the cash, usually bring a better fight than guys who have been at the top and have lost the desire that goes with youth.
It was a very good night of boxing. Prizefighter can be hit and miss, but tonight was just sheer fun. Everyone came to fight, everyone tried hard, we saw plenty of action and the best man won in the end. I'm sure casual fans loved it even more than us 'purists' did. |

. This is what its about I remember watching one a while ago with a few mates where Travis Dickinson won, it was entertaining if far from the most skilled display.

Surely a purist would want four quality match ups over eight rounds or more? Three rounders are for amateurs; one night tournaments are for amateurs. Three round bouts for professionals have their place, as exhibitions that fill gaps on bills.

Eddie Hearn wrote the Bible, can fly, and can apply fake tan by simply looking at a bottle. He also seems to turn everything in to a piss up for retards, and sells it as "atmosphere"
