Me too on the over. Was feeling like a genius since I switched sides, reasoning that Mikey wouldn't overwhelm Salido even if he hurt him.
Thought it had been about the worst case scenario for an over bet, but it was still looking good. "No, THIS is the worst case scenario." |

At what point did Salido "bother" Mikey? I assume you mean the brief points in which Mikey wasn't completely busting Salido up? Even at that point, Salido's "best" moments he was at best breaking even. That doesn't allow him to make up ground, that just slowed down how much ground he was losing.

Listen to all the haters now on Mikey. Saying Salido was coming on and Mikey quit because of it.
Dude had 5 KDs and won every single round. He did get caught with some big shots and never once looked hurt. |

There was a specific round where Mikey let Salido completely off the hook 3 times after hurting.. there was a point where Salido looked like he was about to quit.. and this was early in the fight where Mikey landed a huge shot and just backed off... then right near the end of that round he actually landed 2 shots and turned away thinking he put him down when Salido didn't go down. It was bizarre.. never seen someone just keep letting a guy back into a fight for no fucking reason. |

You need killer instinct at the elite level because guys at this level don't quit. Garcia needs to realize this or he is going to learn the hard way with a lost.

I agree, I would have liked to see him finish him, but respect why he didnt and get where he's coming from. It's like Taylor vs Pavlik, if you don't finish the guy...who knows what might happen.

I'm not knocking Garcia but did you see the interview? Garcia even said he should have continued and should have. He then caught himself and offered the rematch.

Sometimes I wonder though if the open scoring would not be a bad choice. Imagine the fans knowing a fighter is clearly getting robbed. I can see them putting the pressure on the judges by booing them and making them think twice about silently robbing the fighters. |

an accidental butt breaks a nose and its over, it was just disappointing I wanted to see how the young Garcia would handle a cagey veteran who wouldnt quit and i wanted to see Salido get his chance to soldier on as he has paid his dues thru a long career |
