Bro I got news for you...Mikey is the "Elite level", not sure who you think he's gonna fight that is so much better but the dude is gonna do what the fuck he wants. Sometimes I wonder though if the open scoring would not be a bad choice. Imagine the fans knowing a fighter is clearly getting robbed. I can see them putting the pressure on the judges by booing them and making them think twice about silently robbing the fighters.

I dont like open scoring it ruins it for me as a fan and can change fight, a guy may coast rather than fight and keep it interesting (Mormeck vs Bell II)

Im under the belief the judges will be bad know matter when the score is read, now you know your gonna get robbed in the 8th rather than the 12th

I'm not blaming him. He's young and following his corner's advise who is also his family.

Salido wasn't coming on. I don't believe that either but I do believe Salido had a punchers chance had the fight continued. He was landing.

You know if the fight would have continued mikey would just keep getting stronger... the inevitable is gonna happen. Mikey dont need to rush shit, or get anyone out there early, it will happen sooner or later... any other man would have quit but we are talking salido.... amazing recuperating skills.

Lesser fighters would have been stunned with those shots, Salido just gets a quick KD and comes back to fight not many fighters operate like him.

Salido was "coming on". The last two rounds had been his best and he still had 4 rounds to go. Saying Garcia quit is very disrespectul but he did take the prudent way out.

After the round they cut to Garcia's corner and the second Robert Garcia says "that was a headbutt right they cut over the Salido's corner after less then 9 seconds and they never go back to garvia's corner until after the round starts. We never see what Garcia says to his trainer. Shady shit that shit is usually programmed to have equal time between each corner.

exactly my point, Gamboa couldn't even stop the dude... Salido is a hard ass motherfucker that not many can take that type of sustained punishment and keep going... if it continued I think mikey would have been the first to ever lay him out or TKO him.

Nope the doctor asked him if he could continue and Robert said no. mikey also said no and complained about his nose.

LIke he said in the post fight interview he should have continued.

I won't say he should have, but I do believe he could have and he didn't have to stop the fight.

That being said I'm not going to knock him doing so, he is young and this was his big step up.

? Where the fuck did I say he wasn't at this weight? What I stated was he needs to finish guys. Salido may not be elite but he's a top tier at the weight. Was not goign to quit and kept looking for the miracle KO. Shit happens in boxing and if the ref didn't see that headbutt tonight Salido would have won. None of this would have happened if Garcia finished Salido when he had the chance. Thats all I'm saying

Come the fuck on... as soon as Mikey was back on the stool and Robert said "Fuck it's broken" you know they were going to ask for it to be stopped.

I told my wife that very thing as soon as he sat down.

Never seen that shit before.

Not that Salido would have won, but it would have been good to see Garcia fight through it.. for at least a round or two.

Boxing is just as much about dealing with adversity.. and as soon as the fight had an issue they looked for a way out.
