You expected Salido to go down so often?

I hate to say it man because Salido is my fav fighter but I kinda did. I felt this fight was easily on par 2 or 3 knockdowns against Salido.

Here was my 'gist'

somewhere in the middle rounds I think Garcia catches Salido with a sharp punch, and puts him down.... then proceeds to win the rounds.

Thats when the fight would get interesting. If Salido goes into warrior mode, I think he will wind up getting caught again, and put down again (I see this happening a few times)

In the end I expect Garcia to win the fight due to a few knockdowns and comfortable judging in his favor (I dont think he will need it, but I think the judges will ensure a close decision goes to Garcia)

I think Garcias sharp, accurate punches will be too much for the old Salido to stand up to, and I see him getting hurt and dropped in between having good rounds, which by the end sees him behind on the cards and getting an L.

Only thing I figured the first round would be a more feeler outter, and that Salido wouldnt be dropped till the 3rd or so. I also didnt think Salido would make Garcia as uncomfortable as he did (so in reality, Salido actually did slightly better then I thought he would)

I really felt this was a bad matchup for Salido from the get go. However, I actually have more faith in him in a rematch, even though I would still go with Mikey to win.

RULES
- Anyone can participate, whether youre this years current champion or have never placed a pick in the league before. The challenge is open to all.
- There can not be a challenge issued by the same member in consecutive defences.
- If the Peoples Champion leaves for awhile, and goes 3 consecutive weeks without making a defence of his title, title is forfeited. In which case, the top two highest p4p (which will be determined at the time (Feature fight record, head to head record, money earnings, KO %, Total KO's, ect) will face eachother for the vacant title.
- The Peoples Champion must make his picks early (at least 4 days) so it gives challengers enough time to issue challenges.
- The first person to issue an available challenge will be the next challenger. The next challenge can not be issued until after the pending defence has been made. Once the result is in after the fight, the next issue may be challenged and met. No challenges made while there is a pending challenge will be counted.

Example

* First person to issue challenge is challenger
* While waiting for the fights outcome, be in days or hours, no challenges will be accepted.
* Once the result is official, the doors open to the next member to issue their challenge. Whoever is first, will get the challenge.
* Title fight picks must reflect actual league pick. (this does not apply to wagers). Both champion and challenger must be picking the same person in both the general league, and in their title fight.
* Should the Champion change his pick after having been challenged, he'll be stripped of the title, and the challenger will have first priority to fight for the now vacant title

just watched Salido - Garcia
has a fight ever being stopped for a broken nose
there was a shift of momentum going and the Garcia camp especially Robert said different times it was because of a headbutt
in a way they were happy it was ending prematurely
Salido was coming on and Mikey didn't like it 1 bit
i am not gonna shit on Garcia
he is 100 times the athlete i am
but this fight leaves a bad taste in my mouth
this fight deserves a rematch
