I believe Chavez Jr takes GGG's power and walks him down, eventually wearing him down with body work, stopping him late and ending the GGG hype before he even gets a shot at Martinez, à la Bute being taken out before getting a shot at Ward.

I think Junior would beat him. He'd push him back, work his body, and I don't think GGG could stop Junior.

Honestly from what Ive seen so far of both fighters I'd say its a toss up.
Golovkin is the much more skilled fighter and has the power to break Chavezs face apart! Chavez is a beast of a middle weight and hits pretty hard himself though.

Chavez jr looks the better fighter..which isn't saying much.

GGG can dish it out...but he can't take it...

He's weak to the body....everytime Rosado landed those uppercuts to the body..GGG had the same look Tyson had when he got hit back with something.

HBO said last night he has never been down....not true...he was dropped hard by some Argentine bum.

GGG is a small middleweight being matched with guys who are essentially(or actually!) junior middleweights. Jc Jr is a whole different game. That big goon leaning on him and banging his body for twelve rounds will cause problems.

That's the thing. Talking about chins, I'd have to back Chavez on that, for now at least. GGG's chin is still largely untested. Martinez is no feather fisted puncher, but JCC took what he dished out all night.

GGG is no twinkle toes like Martinez. JCC would work him into corners, against the ropes, lay his head on him and wail away as he does. I don't see GGG taking that punishment for the entire fight.

GGG relies too much on his power....

You need defense in the boxing game.

At least Jr has the size to avoid a few punches....Golovkin is there for everything..

Jr has the better inside game...and GGG doesn't seem as tough as Jr..

The idea that Chavez jr would be a test for GGG says a lot about him...
