an example how bad the division is Oquendo who is somehow ranked #5 by the WBA, is calling out Wlad for a shot....

Why the hell is Vitali in this thread title? The guy actualy LOST to a shot Lewiis during the full prime of his career.

He also bizarrely quit against a 5'10 midget.

Doctor Iron Fist is a good tough champion. A 'grunt' if you will. But he's no Lewis.

he wasn't in his prime, he was 32 and carrying a shoulder injury that retired him three fights later. His prime was four years before that. Even still, he almost knocked out Lewis in two rounds, and was only stopped by an eye injury opened up in a clinch with an illegal shot. Promised rematch, retired.

Lewis past his prime beat vitali and vitali's faced looked like he had been pounded on good and proper

Wlad could equal Lewis depending on his career progression over the next few years. They are both overrated h2h.

Vitali isn't in the discussion, just too far behind in accomplishments.

Wlad and Lennox will be compared years from now having both been dominant linear champions who rebuilt careers after some early bumps in the road. As it stands now, Lewis is a top 5 HW ATG, Wlad is probably right around #10. Depending on how things shape up over the next few years, those rankings could change.

i beg to differ, Holyfield dropped the very next year a decision against Ruiz, and then a year later got schooled by Byrd...the same Byrd who got dominated twice by WK.
Dont talk out of your ass mate, the Holyfield wins look good on paper but he seriously diminished by the time lennox got to him.

Vitali no, Wlad yes. The longevity's going to be what does it in the end.

Lennox was a great fighter, but he also only fought 44 fights and his longest unbeaten streak once he stepped up was a little less than 6 years. Wlad's got one more loss than Lennox, but he also has 18 more wins and has been on an unbeaten streak over the last 8 years. If he keeps winning, it's going to eventually outweigh Lennox's resume even if one prefers Lennox's names on the top end.
