Fuck all these boxing fans who can't appreciate skills and need some WWE type shit to get interested. If you find Alexander vs. Maidana boring you are the worst type of boxing fan. Go watch UFC.
Skills? He is fast and sharp but he has no idea what he is doing with his punches. Jab, jab, jab, jab without any idea. His timing and ability to find those connecting spots are awful.

He was able to outwork Maidana which is a great achievement but still.. Kotelnik was able to outbox him pretty bad cause he was smart. Not fast and slick as Alexander but he knew what to do there. Alexander had no answer

I would say that there is a top tier of guys who have ELITE competition since 2010-ish:

Ward, Donaire, Bradley, Froch, Alexander, Mares, Marquez, Mosley, Darchinyan, Sergio, Dawson, Viloria, Khan

Before someone gets the wrong idea Im not saying that no one is taking tough fights but him but he has had 7 hard fights not one soft touch in that group.

No doubt.

But look at Chad Dawson's last 9 fights: Ward, Hopkins II, Hopkins I, Diaconu, Pascal, Johnson II, Tarver II, Tarver I, Johnson I

American boxers are over-hyped by American media, but vastly underrated by international fans. It just is what it is. Everybody looks to discredit and dislike successful American boxers.

Im pulling for Alexander in the Brook fight and it would be nice if he can stop him and then get a new trainer.

Yup. I hope and think he'll come out on top in a close one.

We will see if Brook is the goods, though. Plenty of basis for comparing him against other top fighters depending on how he does with Devon.

I think he is rather arrogant. Brook is going to take the smug right of his face when their fight ends. Win or lose, Alexander is going to get taught a lesson on fight night.

Got a feeling he's another overhyped american benefitting from some seriously questionable decisions in the past. Hats off to Brook for going to america to fight him with that in mind, fancy Kell to step up and beat him handily, but maybe lose a dodgy decision.

As a boxer he is absolutely horrible to watch, and he should have 3 losses on his record. The shameless St. Louis homecooking doesnt help people warm to him either
Alexander looked good lifting Durango off the canvas and giving Marcos Maidana a sound ass-whipping..

I like Alexander and while the Bradley fight was probably too much too soon for him, you can't argue that he's not ducked anybody and has more than earned his place.
