None, Toney wouldnt be able to drop Dempsey, Dempsey would come forward and with his style nullify Toneys great skill and win with punching power but mostly the speed of his combinations

Come on man. Toney wasn't even champion at heavyweight (not counting the brief beltholder period before being stripped for steroids). He didn't need to fight anyone. But Dempsey was champion. And he choose to ignore the clear #1 contender for 7 years straight and fight the loser of title eliminators twice.

So, if you compare Toney not fighting Klitschko to Dempsey not fighting Wills.. well, I'd be disappointed in your inability to distinguish between the key factors that separate these events.
I mean in terms of their overal impact on the era, not their obligations.

My point is that we are comparing a flawed dominant champion, to somebody who was never that close to being the man.

Toney does not have enough to deal with Jacks power and speed, he makes it tough on the inside and dishes out his share but Jack breaks things and forces the RSC, Dempsey has more firepower than Jirov and much more speed than Rahman...JD RSC in 8-12

Yeah, he actually looks different to how I'd imagine him.

Looks too Jewish to be "Porky", imo, and isn't fat enough, but apparently he was Irish-American.

Yeah, if Dan was given the name Porky, imagine what they would call Toney and some of the other current top 10 if transplanted by time machine

Fighting a black dude as well!?..This would be a counter fest for Toney dont see Dempsey makin it past the 4th or 5th. Theres no way Dempsey has ever faced someone as defensively sound as James Toney...Jacks gonna get his ass busted.

In a time machine.
They'd probably just call him Aunt Jemima.

Its because Toney was great against boxers thats his style its best for them Dempsey was a fast handed slugger and i dont see Toney dodging 4 to 5 punch combinations while Dempsey is right infront of him slugging it out Toney wont be able to sit back and dodge every punch with ease he will get hit and thats why i said Dempsey speed and combinations will win him this

Dose 190 catchweight mean Toney's coming up from 175 or down from heavyweight?
If he's coming up from 175. I'm going with Toney. If he's coming down from Heavy I lean toward Dempsey.

Jack's attack is to much for James, he may survive but its no sure thing, with a force of nature like Jack he would be on the losing end of the deal.
