No-one ever put JC Sr down the way Tszyu did but he was 38 at the time.

JC Sr had the best chin of any fighter I've seen and King Kostya would not have dropped a prime Sr irrespective of how hard he hit him.

A good chin stops good hitting.

JC Jr takes big punishment against GGG early but if he survives he may give some of it back late. As would have happened if a prime Tszyu fought a prime JC Sr.

The big difference in terms of drawing analogies is that while GGG may be comparable in ability to King Kostya, it's a big stretch to say JC Jr is comparable in ability to JC Sr.

I think Tszyu had the handspeed and skills to beat a prime Chavez Sr on points but no way does he stop him.

Neither Chavez nor Tszyu were overrated imo but there are plenty who are willing to say otherwise.

They were both A-level guys who along with Aaron Pryor are the best fighters to have ever campaigned in the 140 lb division for a lengthy period of time (again, imo).

And of the non-traditional weight divisions, 140 lbs has probably been the best.
