At Feather, I think I'd go something like...

1. Pep
2. Saddler
3. Attell
4. Driscoll
5. Armstrong
6. Saldivar or Sanchez

Don't quite know enough about Attell and Driscoll to be really sold on their spots, but it is what it is for now.

I'm quite adamant Sanchez is top 5 at featherweight.

It's amazing at what he accomplished when he died. I think he can be #5 ATG 126 pounder.
Great post BTW.

Yes! You should go the classic forum, you might get some more detailed discusion.

For me:
Pep
Armstrong
Saddler
Saldivar
Sanchez

although in fairness a majority rates Sanchez above Saldivar.

Here is the results frm classic forums results and a link to that discussion.

1. 547 Willie Pep (13)
2. 442 Henry Armstrong (6)
3. 399 Sandy Saddler(4)
4. 314 Salvador Sanchez (5)
5. 129 Abe Attell (1)
6. 115 Jim Driscoll
7. 109 Alexis Arguello
8. 88 Vincente Saldivar
9. 67 Manny Pacquiao (1)
10. 61 George Dixon
11. 59 Terry McGovern
12. 56 Kid Chocolate
13. 47 Eusebio Pedroza
14. 46 Azumah Nelson
15. 18 Marco Antonio Barrera
16. 12 Danny Lopez
17. 9 Ernesto Marcel
18. 8 Battling Battalino
19. 6 Erik Morales
20. 5 Young Griffo
21. 3 Jeff Fenech
22. 2 [tie] Young Corbett II
22. 2 [tie] Tom Johnson
22. 2 [tie] Johnny Dundee
25. 1 [tie] Alberto Baby Arizmendi
25. 1 [tie] Davey Moore
25. 1 [tie] Freddie Miller
25. 1 [tie] Prince Naseem Hamed

Someone mentioned Pedroza as top 5???? Perhaps top 15, hard to argue him into the top 10 let alone top 5.

I love to see Attell/Driscoll and one of my favs in Saldivar get some mentions. Attell/Driscoll certainly warrant consideration as top 5, but on my list they come in 7 & 8. Good calls though!

Thanks for the feedback. Actually lost the original file to post and had to re-do it all from scratch.

Watch his fight against Wilfredo Gomez, in full. Quality stuff. Or either of the two Little Red Lopez bouts.

Salvador Sanchez was a great boxer.

Nelson fight is pretty good stuff too. Can't imagine what the hell he must've been thinking in the ring with the way Azumah fought that night -- could've easily been blindsided by him without any idea he'd be facing another ATG in there. Nobody really knew.

Awesome job NWS, AWESOME! I always wondered how Sanchez would do in fights vs Pryor, Arguello, and Chavez. Sanchez was just hitting his prime.
