It's startling how many people are writing Frazier off in this.

And no Southpaw, Joe's only hope isn't landing a big left hook. For such a Frazier fan, I'd hope you think more of Frazier than just a left hook... To beat Holy, he'd need to land dozens of them and he would.

Holyfield would choose to slug with Frazier when it would be wiser and easier for him to box. As ETM said, I can also see Frazier going down early and getting up to find his rhythm.

Witnessing the exchanges would be worth the price of any seat or PPV, and either guy could win this.

The thing is that Frazier is better at his game than Holyfield is at his, meaning that while Evander is more versatile, he doesn't always fight the smartest or with a style that suits his best interest for ease of victory. Frazier's consistency is the key here.

I think Frazier's body work and overall pressure does Holyfield in late or wins him a clear decision.

Holyfield is the bigger man. 6'2 1/2", 77 1/2" reach and his weigh-in weights for HW World title fights ranged from 205 Lbs. (first fight vs. Bowe in 1992) - 221 Lbs. (first fight vs. Ruiz in 2000)... he was 224 1/2 Lbs. vs. Sherman Williams in 2011 for the WBF strap. He was always rock solid.

Frazier was 5'11 1/2", 73" reach, and his weigh-in weights for HW World title fights ranged from 203 Lbs. (vs. Bonavena in 196

- 217 1/2 (vs. Ron Stander in 1972). He was not always rock solid. When he weighed in at 224 1/2 vs. Foreman in 1976 and 229 vs. Cummings in 1981 he was far from solid.

Frazier was a bigger puncher with the left hook only. Stronger? No! Holyfield was one of the strongest Heavyweights ever. Holyfield was more durable as well... which would neutralize some of Frazier's power.

Holyfield had quicker hands, better footwork, better defense, a better jab, and a better chin. He was also stronger but I'll give the nod to Frazier for the more powerful left hook... but Holyfield's hook was very good as well. Holyfield also had very good uppercuts and the better right hand.

Frazier was a great fighter and the above statements would be true when comparing Frazier to many fighters... it doesn't mean that Frazier would lose. I do think Frazier would lose to Holyfield though.

I think it would be a great fight with a lot action. It wouldn't be an easy win no matter which way it went.

Frazier beats Holyfield.

Holy is not good enough to beat a prime Joe Frazier, his style & character plays right into Joe`s hands. I think Frazier might be able to stop him in a 15 rounder.

Similar to Marciano vs Both of these guys (No, not in style, rather in competitiveness), I would call it a borderline pick-em fight. I think Frazier gets my edge based upon workrate, but this should be close and in each others face all night. They could just fight in a phone booth, because I don't see either guy backing the other down, nor do I see either guy getting stopped...Over 15 I might increase the decision for Frazier as well as opening up the possibility of a stoppage as well.

Frazier would be the slower man, the smaller man, Holyfield is the more skilled, both carried similar power, both are mentally ready for a war, Holyfield got the better chin.

If it's a trilogy I would say Frazier his only chance to beat Holyfield is in the first fight.

Being blind in his left eye also doesn't help Frazier.

Nice one of getting a picture of Frazier when it had been a while since his last fight, what is he supposed to look in shape while not training for a fight ?

So i guess were not talking about a prime Frazier from the FOTC cause if i remember correctly he was in shape as **** unless because he didnt have the genetics to look cut or ripped whatever you wanna say means he wasnt in shape i guess what happened was just a fluke then...
I dont get why if he dosent look particularly amazing makes a difference, the thing is he had tonnes of stamina and was in shape i thought thats what counts,

Next thing im gonna hear is becuase Mike Weaver was so big that hes the best heavyweight there was...
