I saw the docu too. Past prime form, I am not so sure. He seemed to have every bit of his invincibility at that point. Surely he was getting older but he was still slaying the giants. No one had consistently edged him the way Larret and others have only recently.

Are you saying the ATG's were less good then, h?

so what is BS TO YOU. What's BS to me is anything other than what SRR 'n countless other greats did. Go to a hardcore gym with top notch veteran trainers. Ask them what they think. Betchya they'll confide they humor young fighters who believe that space age BS will make them better fighters; and they don't want opponents to have an edge"].

But no none of it means anything if you haven't learned your craft sparring and don't have the instinct to fight back, which can't be taught

If your not a physical fighter -- strickly a stick and move guy -- who won't brawl on the inside, like Gene Fullmer. Extra strength is like tits on bull.

not distrorying your knee caps by running on hard pavement?

I'd advise any fighter not to do roadwork on pavement. They'll pay a stiff price (no pun intended) later in life.

or the fact that doing weights and doing pull ups
will both have the same negative effects ie stiffness etc

Believe a certain amount of light weights and body weight exercises can be helpful.

Bottom line: no pseudoscience is The Holy Grail to being a better boxer...only looking more ripped in the mirror. A carved eight-pack won't protect a guy from a good shot to the liver.

Trolling is farce. Manassa just elevated it to satire. I'm not sure whether to thank him or send him a baby tiger. Maybe both.

Look, like you said, talk is over, I've made a note of your gym and where it is and will ask for Leo the Fat Russian when I'm over there. I will be with family until 3rd of March but after that I will gladly come and beat your face up, fat prick. Will be with my brother in case you decide to pull some shady shit, you'll probably want to after being schooled by someone half your flab.

Better get training you shit.

shut the **** up and show up
the same goes to anyone else who doubts my skills

end of story

Still a ridiculous grudge fight like this between 2 novices has the potential to be quite humorous.

well if he wants to talk shit
who gives a **** how big he is

you talk shit, you get ko'd
who cares if your 110 pounds or 300

a man should watch his mouth

and tell why dont you think i boxed

because i think doing weights is good???
and i happen to disagree with the backward mentality of some boxing coaches

just to let you know
boxed for about 15 years on and off

4 years of brazilian jit-jitsu
and also have done a bit of wrestling, muay thai and systema

and yes i am an avid weightlifter
if you dont like that
then **** you too

like i said, i posted exactly where i train,

Get into a gym and pour that competitiveness into becoming a fighter. With that attitude, you could be a real good one someday.

I don't think you're an idiot who doesn't know boxing, hg. I just think all that pseudoscience doesn't make a boxer -- however shredded -- one bit better. From day one, he'll either wanna stick 'n move or mix-it-up. All the muscles in the world won't make him punch WITH an opponent, like Donaire.

He can either box 'n fight or he can't. With the best conditioning, he either takes a good shot to the chops or body, or he can't. SRR had it in his DNA.
