Pete McNeeley. Mike got a lucky DQ against the Hurricane, rematch should have been ordered!

This is true, he was just starting to get through aswell. But he went on too 'bigger' things.

Great win by Iron Mike but Pinky was a punching bag.

TNT wasn't.

Razor Ruddock doesn't come within my definition of "prime" Tyson so he doesn't count.

Tyson was well & truly on the slide when he faced him.

I will always maintain that his prime ended at the Spinks fight. He was very focussed in his career up until that point.

After the Spinks fight, there was no-one on the horizon. He got into a street fight with Mitch Green, broke his hand & then had the longest layoff in his professional career to that point.

He returned against Frank Bruno & was sloppy (something Iron Mike himself agrees with). In my view, he was never the same again.

His prime ended at the Spinks fight and he was therefore never beaten in his prime (by my definition of what his prime was).

Personally, I think the version of Tyson that reigned from the Trevor Berbick fight through until the Spinks fight was the best heavyweight we've ever seen. There's no-one you could say definitively that could beat that version of Tyson.
If he trained unprofessionally against Douglas, that's on him. maybe had he trained harder he'd win, but then again douglas could train harder himself.

I pick Louis, Ali and Douglas over Tyson prime for prime.

On the slide but pre-prison, early 90s Tyson was still a beast.

You pick Douglas over prime Mike? Mike was a nano second short of a knock out victory against Douglas.
That Mike used be at the zoo's all day and partying with sumo's all night instead of training . He had no professional's in his corner and his head movement , speed and combination punching was gone.

Douglas a few years earlier wouldn't of beat the count.

Yes it was.

Either that or the Ruddock win.

Tony Tucker was undefeated and was an excellent all around boxer. He had power, a very good chin, and size. A mobile, strong chinned guy who had power and good hand speed should have put Mike at a stylistic disadvantage.
