So Geale should have signed on to fight the number 3 in the middleweight division less than three months after beating the then number 1 overseas (Martinez was/is Champion). And you say it's unfair for Golovkin who has done fuck all in the middleweight division? Not even Martinez, Mayweather or Pacquiao have done that so nice try with the desperate excuse to defend Golovkin and the WBA. Geale to beat Mundine is a sure thing whereas Golovkin is a tough one to call but I personally think Geale would win but there is no guarantee of a victory for the either man, unlike what you and you fellow GGG nuthuggers say. |

As to what GGG had done to deserve to shot, how about he sat on his mandatory position for 2 years, attempting to fight both super champ Sturm and interim champ NJikam with no luck. What more would you want? BTW, the only reason Sturm offered Geale the unification is to defer the mandatory. If you remember, Geale was about to sign for Pirog on HBO in Aug, then Sturm swooped in with a bigger offer and sure unification. |

if he wants those over 20mil/fight paydays, he has to fight in the u.s. and keep building up the fanbase. he has to continue to keep his exposure and marketability up, fight in france will go unrecognized.

I am well aware that Sturm did every thing to avoid GGG, but it backfired massively. The Geale vs Pirog fight would have gone ahead, but the WBO refused to sanction the fight thus making only Geales title at stake, so he took Sturms offer. |

The Karmazin of only a year or two before would've dealt with him. He lost every second against Geale; those scorecards were puzzlingly close. It was a clear 120-108. He lost cleanly to mediocre Dyah Davis, and got dropped by him. (larger maybe but less p4p hard-hitting than GGG) He lost cleanly to 1-dimensional Don George, and got dropped by him as well. (larger maybe but less p4p hard-hitting than GGG) He possesses a moderate punch and a decent gas tank, but that's IT. Very low on boxing skills, pretty slow, and suspect chin. For a guy like Golovkin (who is a superior boxer, isn't going to be troubled by Adama's level of power and will time him effortlessly and can definitely hurt him) - easy work. |

The thing is, his next HBO date is in june, hopefully some name fighter steps up. He wants to stay busy in the mean time. Someone help me out, when's the last time a beltholder (above LW, say) fought twice in 80 days? Huck used to come close.

Still think Golovkin will KO him within half the scheduled distance. It'll be fun to watch. It will probably be the last time we have to see Adama for a while.

Abel Sanchez said the plan was to fight Pirog in June so if that goes ahead, I guess I can deal with Adama as a stay busy fight. Most guys would just take a lay off until June so it's not terrible news but this doesn't really excite me in any way either.
