Is Pirog still planning to have a fight in March?

TKO loss or not, I'd still consider Zbik more durable(and more worthy) than Spada. Plus, hasn't Zbik already beaten Spada? Not certain, going from memory here.

Zbik and Spada both suck.

...and yes, Zbik beat him twice, closely, in a pair of the most god-awful middleweight title fights in history.

Well Zbik was nearly too much for Chavez Jr.

So? Chavez Jr. stepped up against the champ and lost all but twenty seconds.

Zbik gave a sneak-peek in exposing Chavez for what he is. Struggling with the mediocre German ought to have been a huge red flag. Shame on anyone that saw Chavez vs. Zbik and still picked him over Martinez.

I just want to point out that the difference between the gatekeepers /upper journeyman and the (considered) top, Martinez apart, is not that big in the MW division.

I'd say they're on par with one another. Spada loss to two close ones to Zbik in Germany and another to Barker in the UK. Spada was the runner up option to Martin Murray for Martinez. But coming off a TKO to Sturm doesn't make for an ideal opponent in a Golovkin fight.

At any rate, expectations for the level of this opponent should probably be kept fairly low given that there'll be no HBO money and that it's in France. For now I'd be happy to see GGG go rounds with someone who's not going to run.

true statement... if a figher fought even 1/2 really good fighers a year and had 3 easy fights i'll be happy (considering the current state of boxing).

On another note, i strongly believe that Golovkin would fight anyone at 160 if promotors allow.

GGG is one the best Middleweight prospects that I have ever seen.

I seen on HBO where they said GGG fights like Julio Ceasar Chavez Sr. but with more power and speed.

The biggest insult in boxing you could give a fighter i reckon, saying they fight like Chavez Jr.

And HBO was comparing him to Marvin Hagler too.
