Well that was pre steward Wlad.

I think he'd smash Brewster in this form.

Was it pre-steward?

Well I'm not convinced he would smash Brewster. I haven't seen him overcome that particular stylistic difficulty since the fight.

Sure he won the rematch but Brewster was inactive and suffering eye injuries. During the first Wlad was smashing him but Brewster outlasted him.

It takes a good counter puncher with quick hands to beat Wlad. Povektin and Pulev have those tools.

Povetkin once did I'm not so sure he has it any more. We'll know more about Pulev after the Adamek fight but I like what I've seen so far.

A counterpuncher? I dunno... It'd take a very fast, intelligent counterpuncher to do the business on Wlad.

The only time I've seen him countered is from the southpaw stance v Sanders. An anomaly really.

I think to beat you have to take what he can give out, keep him working hard and wear him down with big punches.

From his little time with Koysta there was a huge difference between Huck and Rahman. Koysta is a fitness nut and will have AP in shape. It will be a competitive fight. Can you remember the guy he spanked with one hand?

I've no doubt it would be competitive but just not as much as it once would have been.

Could Liston take Waldo's punches?

I believe he could, for a while, in his prime. It's not like Liston is an undersized cruiserweight. 6'0, longer arms than Wlad and weighed above 210 at his best.

The more I think about this the more I can ser Liston and his huge right tapping that chin of Wlad.

I can see no way Wlad survives unless he bombs Liston out first but to do that he needs to fight aggressive and is there anyway he could come out on top against Liston in a trade? Not in my opinion there isn't.
