Ignoring the fact that that post is clearly guesswork on your part, still the situation would only be comparable if Warrun had an exclusive contract with Sky like Hearn does so that Sky couldn't source extra dates from other promoters.

2. TV has been agreed. The OP has made this up. 3. It would have leaked. It's nice for them to have a choice of venues. Thats what happens when you actually pay the venue. That way you have World Champions fight in there home country. |

Much ado about nothing.Hearn has already put on 8 dates with another 6 lined up before the end of march that leaves 6 with 2 of those being prizefighters.Thats 4 dates to fill in 4 months and the Froch bill while i could understand sky don`t want to count as one of the date ,it could mean Hearns resources are more streched when he would like to put on a stacked undercard for the ppv, they will work it out i`m sure.

Still, this conversation is off the back of a post from Nafflad thy has no source. Its just as likley to be either scenario so its pointless to talk about it. |

Mondays Thursdays and Fridays. |

Come on Rob, when has a lack of a source ever stopped people, including you, talking about this sort of stuff?

Sky deserve a lot of the blame for giving all their dates to Eddie knowing he hasn't the biggest stable.
The only headliners Eddie's got are Froch, Brook, Bellew, Barker and Frampton. With Sky wanting to show at least 2 12 rounders the likes of McCloskey and Purdy end up in the co-feature bouts. And it seems that good domestic matchups like Matthews/Crolla and Lindsay/Selby which would have headlined their own (smaller) cards in the past aren't good enough to go ahead on their own on Sky now. What's the problem with Lindsay/Selby headling with someone like Willie Casey in the co-feature against a decent opponent and then Matchroom's prospects keeping busy whilst having Kiko/Frampton headline a separate card with McCloskey or Andy Lee in the co-feature. Then you've got two cards instead of the 1 and they'd still both be decent if the right opponents are found for the likes of Casey and Lee. Sky and/or Matchroom seem to insist on guys that have got a chance of world level success headlining their cards. The problem is British boxing doesn't have that many fighters on that level. You can't expect everyone to go on and do something at world level yet Sky don't seem content with guys being 'only' British or European champions. |

Great post Ishy. Totally agree.
Nothing wrong with 2 or 3 interesting domestic/ Euro fights on a TV card if the stables "big hitters" are busy. |
