He lost the fight because Geale was the better man on the night, in EVERY way.

He would gain a hell of a lot more respect from the Aussie public if he said as much instead of crying robbery and looking for excuses.

You know what's funny? He goes on about haters and how he doesn't care what they think, that he needs them to get up for his fights, then he goes on about his legacy and how he'll be remembered. How does he think that works then?

All of his haters (say 85% of people who are aware of him) aren't going to spread the good word for him are they?

That leaves his ever-decreasing circle of ardent fans and yes men who swallow his bullshit to remember him as being the greatest athlete to grace humanity with his presence and keep his legacy alive

What happened? Did Choc's corner tell him to put his head in the way of Geale's punches, to miss when he threw his own and generally just look lousy?

In the heat of the battle you cant blame mundine, but when he sits in his corner between rds they should be telling him what to do more or less of in the next round and he thinks when mundine watches and re examines the fight he may change his opinion but bad cornerman for choc.
I agree with this to some small extent.
Yes, the corner plays a part in the fight, however nothing Mandy could do last night was going to get the better of Geale.

Geale was the better fighter and that's that.
There's no shame in losing to Geale, he's at the top of his game and Mandy did well enough to stay upright.

Of course Mundine knew on the night he lost the fight. He was even making excuses for the loss while the scores were being counted.

BUT

Mundine's corner, his advice he recieved was shit, just like his whole career, his corner and his management have been utter bollocks. If he had a half decent manager throughout his career he could have been in better fights.

yes nafe, but some boxers. like mundine, will always do and say their own thing, believing they know better, but when they lose its always someone else's fault

Honestly I don't think the corner could of said anything to change the way the fight was panning out...........mandy simply couldn't match it with Geale's workrate.........even when he tried to run, grab the ropes in the corner Geale was on him.........it was Geale's superior workrate that dictated the fight n mandy simply had no answer........when mandy landed the right hand which I believe he was banking on to hurt Geale, n nothing happened, his fight was over.

even though anthony lost cause he is inferior to geale, it wasn't helping when he has 3 guys in his corner and they r all talking to him.

how hard is it for team to have just the ONE person instructing him. aren't these people suppose to be professional?

u see it so often its crazy.

i dont think he has ever had really good corner advice.

against kessler, there were times when he threw a flurry and had kessler going backwards. But his corner made no comment of it

i am sure calzaghe watched this and realised that kessler was susceptible if you made him go backwards - which is how he beat him.
