How do you think he does against our crop of middleweights?
I think him an macklin is a war but macklin comes out on top Barker beats him too 115-112ish, the only probably for barker in this is, geale will be in his chest all night long an will win rounds based on workrate And he beat murray in close but clear win He has a good engine, fast hands, decent footwork but seems like an energy fighter imo |

Hes the middleweight aussie Ricky Burns. Seen as a domestic fighter for a long time, underrated due to early losses but a hard worker who keeps improving due to his attitude. No ego. Underrated power. Will continue to perform beyond what many think him capable of.
Good fights with the British MWs and think he'd give all 3 a run but would predict similar to you. |

Agree with this, Barker would use his jab and reach advantage to outbox geale imo. Geale v macklin would be a good scrap but id fancy macklin just to be the stronger fighter.

I think he beats all 3 of them he would come to ring fitter than them a win it by winning all the late rounds 9-12 on sheer work rate and he would pick up enough early rounds(1- 8 ) to take the fight on points

I think Geale beats Macklin and Barker.
Macklin is out with a nose problem at the minute and has had surgery. Geale is a technician and would open up the nose. Chess match against Barker but Geale has operated at the top level longer and takes the decision. Beats Murray hands down. |

Its difficuilt to measure Darren Barker! he's fought domestic level opponents for nearly his whole career and one elitist, therefore its hard to say how good he is. Is he world class? or can he win a world title? Very difficult to say.
Murray and Macklin would give Geale more to think about than Barker IMHO, Macklin because he is seasoned and tough, Murray because he's a pretty well rounded, big strong middleweight. Geale fights in a similar fashion to Macklin, he poors on, this would be a really good fight actually! Geale beats Barker and possibly Macklin, I like Murray over Geale, just my opinions, but all 4 can go either way, its tough to definitively say this or that will happen, ability wise there all pretty evenly matched. |

Im sorry i just dont think Geale is that good, solid obviously but i dont think he has enough to beat Macklin and certainly not Barker. Think he wins a close decision over Murray though.

Neither got sparked out by Martinez behave.
If barker is hard to rate then Murray is impossible, who has he fought other than Sturm (who he looked worse than Geale or Macklin against). Geale/Macklin would be a good fight but think Macklin would win due to an edge in power. Like I said would be interesting to see though as I think Geale has the kind of work ethic that will see him progressing way past the point where most fighters start stagnating in regards to technical development. |
