Round 2

Torosyan is controlling Gierke with the jab and forcing him into constant retreat. Gierke is switching up his defenses, trying cross-armed and some weaving. Nothing works. Torosyan keeps getting through. Nice 1-2-3 by Torosyan, rocking Gierke. More holding from Gierke, and pawing jabs falling short on the way into the clinch.

10-9 Torosyan

20-18 Torosyan

Round 3

Long right hand to the body by Torosyan. Gierke takes a big step outside and then slings himself forward, barely touching the canvas with his rear foot. He walks into a jab and is wobbled backward. More scoring jabs and 1-2s by Torosyan. Gierke is trying to hunch down and jabs the body with his fists wrapped low around his mandible. Torosyan puts up the goalposts to keep Gierke's jab out and circles him in a smooth glide. They press together for infighting, both throwing uppercuts and blocking. Double hook to the bicep by Torosyan. Gierke tries a jab and a hook off the jab to the body leaning forward in a crouch, grazing. Torosyan backs him up with jabs and single right hands.

10-9 Torosyan

30-27 Torosyan

Round 4

Torosyan is really opening up now, drilling the right hand to the body while keeping Gierke's guard up with the jab. A steady flow of 1-2s by Torosyan, mixing in long reaching hooks to the upper thigh and belt line. Gierke keeps squatting and weaving side to side but not avoiding shots. All he's keeping out are some of Torosyan's jabs that smash into his gloves. Gierke tries swooping in and dragging an uppercut from behind up into Torosyan's face as they're circling tightly, but gets countered by a jab. 1-2 to the nose by Torosyan. 1-2-3, finishing with a head-turning hook. Gierke mauls in low and holds.

10-9 Torosyan

40-36 Torosyan

Contrast the state of the corners:

Gierke, slumped, wheezing and needing his trainer to fan him with a rapidly spinning towel:

Torosyan, chillin' like a villain.

Round 5

Torosyan is throwing big right hand shovels to the body and doubling Gierke over. Jabs and crosses to the head by Torosyan. Gierke is beginning to mark up around the face, bright red. No visible cuts just yet, but the skin is looking angry. The jab upstairs is getting to be automatic for Torosyan. Gierke is forced to defend every second of every minute, relentless pecking away by Torosyan. A few light body jabs while ducking in are the only answer from Gierke, and he pays for them almost every time.

10-9 Torosyan

50-45 Torosyan

Round 6

Torosyan jabs and Gierke, his balance deteriorating, keels over while blocking and stumbles forward to lean into him. Torosyan pushes out with both forearms to create space and gets back to work. Combos now from Torosyan, hooking off the 1-2 and then going to the body. Gierke is chased back, arms down and head pulled away as Torosyan drills him in the side with crop-duster rights. Gierke works his way in and manages to hack Torosyan across the grill with a right hand over the top but eats a flush jab at the same time and gets forced on the back foot. Body shots by Torosyan, still visibly hurting Gierke but not followed up on. Long jabs flicked out by Torosyan, making Gierke balk. Clinch by Gierke after Torosyan works up close behind the jab. Big combo to the body by Torosyan, hurting Gierke at the bell.

10-9 Torosyan

60-54 Torosyan

An hour from now would be my guess, that's when the German broadcast starts.
