Pitt to fight Botha for Comm cruiser title April 17?

Pitt is down on Boxrec to fight a TBA. Pitt has said after Ammann's recent win that it looks like he's fighting him and that there negotiating for the fight to be for the comm title. I realise there are a few ifs here but I like this fight for a couple of reasons.

1. Ammann is in good form, has come back well from the devastating KO he suffered to Pitt and really wants a second chance. Pitt gets the chance to reassert himself as Aus' best cruiser (Green excluded). Could be a tough fight but interesting to see how Ammann approaches it after the result last time.

2. Great if its for the Comm title. Most of us like Aussies challenging for it, and regardless of who wins, an aussie will hold it which will drive the poms insane

Daniel Ammann has earned the right to a rematch with 6 solid wins, 4 of them against good opposition, since the first time he and Bradd Pitt met.

Can't see it anything else than a Pitt KO again.

Ammann is a solid boxer, hasn't tweaked all that much.

If Amman can make the necessary defensive adjustments and take Pitt into the later rounds he could win. It's a big if.

It was announced last night that Pitt is facing Botha for the commonwealth title on the April card. Botha will need to lose 16kgs to make weight! Big ask for the old fella.

Ammann is now facing Kane Watts.

That is truly bizarre if correct. Frans Botha hasn't weighed 200 pounds for over 20 years.

Botha weighed 115 for sonny bill . The cruiser limit is 90.6 , so he would have to lose 25 kilo to make weight. Not a chance of this happening by April or ever for that matter . Come on guys be real .

It was apparently announce by Brian Amatruda last night. I havent heard specifically its for the cruiser title but the HW comm title is occupied by Price.

David Price has been rumoured to be going to vacate the Commonwealth heavyweight title for some time now.

Are you sure it was Brad Pitt and cruiserweight Armatruda was talking about?

Lucas Browne would fit into this scenario rather nicely at heavyweight. But does Botha really deserve a crack at the Commonwealth heavyweight title only having won 1 of his past 7 fights?

sure on the fighters and title. Just not sure what weight. I'll see if I can clear that up.
