He needs to clean out the next crop of up and coming Heavyweights.
His curent reign is good for only one thing... Longevity. The next crop will provide him the the level of competition his legacy craves. Once he fights them, we'll know where he truly stands |

wlad beat a couple of very good fighters: haye, chambers, chagaev, ibragimov, brock, peter 1 and byrd. these are top ten guys in every era. so fuck off. especially haye and byrd and the unbeaten chagaev could be top 5 in every era. and with povetkin he will beat the next very good fighter. so in my book he has it done all. he is an atg with a great resume and longevity. and he beats them like nothing. he is so good that everyone looks like shit. hail king wlad

![]() If Wlad would travel to 70s in a time machine and KO Ali and Foreman haters would still call his competition weak. |

amen
![]() and now he will fight solis, who hasn't fought long time but is skill wise in the league of wlad and vitali and a olympic gold medal winner. if this is just a tune up before povetkin why are you all complaing? who should he fight else. fury won't fight him, no matter what he talks. after povetkin he will fight pulev, who is imo one of the best contenders of the last 10 years. |

he doesn't need to retire if he fights the best available fighters out there. some good ones coming through.
if he continues fighting the trash out there, then he may as well. but would you turn down millions to fight trash cans? i doubt you would. |

Wlad should retire only after he has beaten Povetkin and Pulev. Furthermore, he shouldn't retire until after he beats Holmes longevity record which happens in August this year.
Longest reigning heavyweight champions [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] And Vitali should retire no earlier than May to beat Corbett's record. |
