The answer is somewhere between both arguments.

But judging by his weights and results right before and after the Mundine fight, it's safe to say that if we are to draw our own conclusions at all, Green was struggling to make 168, why only his title fights were at the actual limit, all of his others between SMW and LHW, and that the only reason he stayed there as long as he did was for a superfight with Mundine.

Biggest fight in the country for many years? Let's get a laughably unqualified judge who is used to doing 6 rounders at the Croatian community center. Freaking boxing.

I live in the state that Green lives in, he used to always have reports in the local paper about him losing weight for fights. I remember before Beyer 2 he was talking about how good he felt and how easily he dropped the weight. He made super middle with no problems until he got embarrassed by his rival, it's nothing more than an excuse. Fighters cut weight for fights, people act like Green is the first boxer to ever do it. He made 168 into his thirties. The only reason he had fights a couple of pounds over the super middle limit is because he calls all the shots in his fights, he's the money man where he's from and if he doesn't want to lose some weight he doesn't, he did that during recent years with his dannyweight crap above light heavy. The reason why he fought at 168 for his title fights is because he had opponents who also had some clout and he couldn't dictate terms. He was a career super middle. At light heavy he didn't fight anyone with a pulse and above that he drained Cruisers down to dannyweight, when he fought actual cruiser weights he got knocked out. The guy is the definition of cherry picker and a master of making excuses, he's not a fighter but a politician in it for a buck. He never struggled until after the fact.

Wow that's funny...

His record is pretty pathetic for a world title fight.

Has judged Geale twice. Other notables include Viloria/Tamara, a Mathebula SD, and a couple Billy Dib fights. That's it!

---

Even better:

Judge #2, Tony Marretta, has never judged a world title fight...

Very little as it turns out. Showed all the signs of an aging fighter who should retire.
