Default Curry Vs. Jones. Donald the the bigger guy and the clear pick to win. An outclassing?

It really is some of the best Curry footage Ive seen..With the addition of McCallum..What do you guys think? Whats your favorite Curry fights?..Lally?.. Statford?..Moiliere..? Are do you guys disagree with these challengers?

Colin often had to play catch-up with quick-steppers, and accepted this, whilst Donald seemed at the top of his game this night, i think it might of proved rather interesting if the cut had not happened, Colin was mentally very tough, this Welsh Dragon kept coming..breathing Fire...and it only took one shot (even Late) from Colin to drastically change the complexion of a fight (ala the Laing Fights ) - Would Donalds confidence of been Dented or evaporated in a longer fight with Jones ? I dont think Donald had that Leonard durability..I think Donald would of known he was in a fight if the cut had not happened...Donald would almost certainly of won...but not i feel with the superior demeaner he was able to display due to the early curtailing.

If the cut didn't happen Donald still would've reigned supreme. However, if this was Bobby Joe Young in there, Curry had reason to be worried.

Curry looked sensational in there that night against Jones right on top of his form. However as has been said Jones was a slow starter and probably expected that.
He was a tough durable so and so and if you watch although he was being outboxed he was also landing some vicious left hooks to Curry's body which if the fight had went longer may well have slowed Curry down and made the ensuing exchanges more even.
Jones packed a helluva dig and if he'd managed to take Curry well into the 2nd half of the fight he was capable of giving him all the trouble he could handle.
Anyway what's the point the reason it didn't happen was because of the Cobra's devastating tissue ripping combinations!

For a very brief time in late '85 until Honeyghan got him, Curry was actually touted as the best fighter in the world, ahead of even Marvin Hagler. The period from his dismantling of Larocca through the awesome McCrory blowout (one of the more underrated wins of the last 30 years) is the best he ever was. All too brief.
