Not a great fight at this point, Darchiniyan will give it his all but he's going to be outclassed and ko'ed again. Last time Darchiniyan was at/near his peak and Donaire was a prospect. Now Donaire is at his peak and Darchiniyan clearly on the downside, I don't think that Vic's chances are getting better here.

I like Darchiniyan and I'm glad he's getting anotehr big fight after knocking off Del Valle but this is not an HBO main event fight and Dan Rafael wrote yesterday that Donaire's fight will be the only fight HBO shows that night. Not surprising that Showtime has probably become a better boxing channel than HBO when they put on cards like this.

Arum knows the fight stinks and would likely hinder Donaire's progress on the P4P list

I think Arum doesn't really care in this case. Wasn't Vic on the list of fighters Nonito wanted to fight this year along with Rigo, Mares and John? At THIS POINT it doesn't matter which cuz they are all on Nonito's list. Mares turned down $1mill and bolted the division rather than face his mandatory. Rigo seems to have an 'excuse' handy. You know Vic will show up to fight and go for the win.
