you answered it yourself you cant compare the past to now the fighters today are fitter,can study fighters easily with more footage,diet is a diff world to then as are training methods, supplements (sp?) ect

those guys where tough as nails tho 7/8 fights a year, 15 rds, gloves that didnt give much comfort for those getting hit

i dont think you can compare at all its not really a level playing field

What we considered GREAT fighters back then and still consider, would get troubled by OKAY boxers and fighters today. AND BEAT DECISIVELY by the best of our generation.
