Default How Boring was Lewis-Tua?

Tua was good for what he was, don't get me wrong, but he's not exactly a guy you think of when you hear "boxing technique". He had ferocious power and a great LH, but the guy was there to be hit, there wasn't a LOT to figure out.

When Tua and Lennox squared off I was very disappointed. Tua took almost no risks in what was his best shot at being champ, and Lennox...

Lennox was content to jab a timid 5'10" slow footed Tua for 36 minutes. It's no wonder Lewis received so much criticism for this fight from the boxing world. Jab-jab-retreat was not what fans were expecting when the fight was signed. Is it possible Lewis was aware of Tua's chin and didn't even want to TRY to lay down some power shots?

If you're introducing someone to boxing be sure to NOT show them this fight.

Wow a Klittard talking about "JAB JAB RETREAT"

Isn't that exactly what Wlad/Vitali do in every single one of their fights?

It was actually pretty intriguing for the first four rounds, because Tua was dangerous and winging hooks. But once Lewis got into a groove and established the jab, any excitement faded from the spectacle- and the only reason why I continued to watch was to admire the manner in which Lewis picked apart a touch, powerful challenger.

Wlad would've dropped some nasty 1-2's on Tua when he plodded forward with no head movement. Lewis did nothing.

Is it possible he was scared? He had already been brutally KO'd at that point in his career.

Would've, should've, could've.

He didn't

The only thing Wlad did was dancing with the stars against Corrie Sanders

Tua tried for the first minute or so, then ate two hard right hands from Lewis that hurt him, and he never tried again for 12 rounds. Disgraceful performance by Tua, and he lost me as a fan that fight. It speaks volumes, but a SHOT, old Tyson put up a much better effort vs Lewis than a young, prime Tua did.

Lewis could have stopped Tua if he put his foot on the gas, but he never did. He was too cautious of letting Tua have the opportunity to land one lucky hook, but really, Tua had nothing for Lewis. He was too short, slow, and fat. If Lennox had become aggressive, and let his hands go, Tua would have been helpless and knocked out.

Terrible fight. One of the biggest let down fights in boxing history, because it was hyped to be a possible all time great shootout.

Wlad would have gotten knocked cold.

Very boring awful fight.

6'6" 85" reach Lewis played patty cake for 12 rounds with 5'9" 66" reach fat slob Tua.

So you agree that Lewis was scared of 5'10" plodding no head movement Tua? Is that why he ran and jabbed for 12 rounds?

Lewis never bounced up and down off the canvas by Sam Peter, smoked by Corrie Sanders, KO'd by Lame-on Bumster, and stopped by Ross Purrity.

Who the **** has your hero ever beaten anyway?

You think Lewis would have fought cautious and scared against a Cruiserweight fraud like David Haye?

Boring as hell.

I must admit I think Lewis could have stopped Tua in the late rounds if he had showed some bollocks.

Lewis had in front of him one of the most overrated fighters of the last 20 years. A 5'9 obese, plodding, t-Rex armed fighter who had virtually given up after a few rounds.

Chris Byrd beat a much better version of the Tuaman in my view, he was overhyped and I think Lewis with all his advantages missed an opportunity to make a statement.

Explain why Wladimira had a running, toe hurting faggot like Haye in front of him, and did NOTHING by jab for 12 rounds.

I bet both your mom's tits that David Gaye would not have seen the distance with Lewis.
