Vitali or Vlad would have knocked Holmes out, no doubt about that one...............Hell, Renaldo Snipes almost knocked Holmes out, Michael Spinks beat Holmes!

My number three heavyweight VS my number fifteen heavyweight. Holmes would likely get rocked here and there, but use his elite recovery skills to rebound and get nasty, taking the decision or possibly late stoppage in a scheduled 15-rounder. On a boxing level, best for best, we are talking about plenty of elite outside boxing happening from both men but Holmes sensing he's running it too close on the outside and working his way in, where he's got a very big edge. Both men prefer outside jabbing methods, but Holmes could bring it inside too. Where Volo hates it. There'd be a lot of clinching when it happens but shots would be coming off. Klitschko probably gets cut up a bit, Holmes might get dirty trying to deal with the mess, but end up with a hard-fought win, is what I'd picture.
Probably something about how Ken Norton would be iced by Sam Peter whereas Holmes only got a close decision. |
