He's with GBP, they have a lock on SHO, and had no issues placing fighters on either network under the earlier management. I get they don't give a shit about Lara; all the more reason to put him in vs Pirog. Win or lose, Canelo is off the hook as Lara goes. If Lara wanted it, of course.

I doubt Pirog could afford what Lara had in mind when he offered to travel. Lara didn't bring much on paper to attract extra interest. We never really found out what Pirog's regular purse is. Safe to say, not very high, that Sergio offer could lead a lot of people astray.

Lara has pretty good defense and a decent chin but he tends to become very one dimensional under relentless pressure. GG is the bigger man so obviously he's favored to win by KO. That doesn't make Lara inept. He is top 3 at 154, has abilities to beat both Trout and Canelo. No question in my mind.

Ward > GG > Lara

That's stating the obvious.

I reckon it'll be close but Lara has good movement and defense and accurate with his punches so he'll keep on tagging Golvokin

GGG seems too easy to hit, I favor Lara over most or all of the people in this weight class

Once he feels Golovkins power he wont throw more than 10 punches per round and run to lose a wide decision then act like he got robbed.

People talk about GGG being overrated but forget that anytime Lara has stepped up he hasnt looked all that great and does not win fights convincingly or even win them period. I used to be a fan of the guy but he just never progressed and just doesnt freaking throw punches when needed. He settles for doing the bare minimum.

Is Martirosyan vs. Lara worth checking out?

I've heard it was ugly and not very exciting, and close enough that most don't have a problem with the draw. (with Martirosyan backers of course thinking it should have swung his way and Lara backers the opposite)

It's one of the worst fights I've ever seen, but if you want some additional questions answered about their respective skill-sets, mentalities, and overall abilities, it might be worth a watch. I think I barely had Lara up at the time the fight was stopped. A draw was fine, though.

Golovkin was doing an excellent job of cutting Rosado off. I do think Lara would land, but could he land enough to keep turning GGG and can he do it for 12 rounds? I highly doubt it.

Terrible fight. Vanes not throwing any punches, and Lara fighting exceptionally dirty. I thought Lara damn near shut him out and was robbed with a draw.

So would you say Martirosyan was luckier with this draw than Lara was against Molina?
