Haye who has nothing wouldn't fight this guy in a million years.
Deontay Wilder could fight him and he'd still be ridiculed for not stepping up.
Pianeta is 100% tomato can. There is no excuse for Wlad anymore. What the hell has Pianeta done to earn a title shot? Wlad Klitschko is nothing more than a paper champion at this point.

Povetkin will happen this summer

You have some nerve coming in here trying to make excuses for Wlad fighting this bullshit fight. There is just no excuse for this shit anymore. Wlad should be stripped of his belts.

So that a bunch of pussies who are too afraid to step up and fight the Champion can win vacant belts like Arreola...makes sense

Thank god it isn't Oquendo.

If he fights Povetkin this year then all is forgiven.

It's not just me - everybody wanted to Floyd to fight Margo and instead he fights Judah (coming off a loss) and Baldomir. I understnad 100% why Floyd took the ODLH fight, no argument there. But a couple years later, Floyd "retires" and sits on the sidelines while Cotto and Margo beat the crap out of each other. After they both lose, Floyd "comes back" and fights Hatton (makes him move up, fight in his backyard, with his ref and judges). Regarding the Pacquiao fight, blame is shared on all sides. But if you talk to most insiders who covered the negotiations over the past 5 years, most would argue that Floyd should carry more of the blame. Bottom line, he's the main man - if he really wanted the fight, it would've happend. Look at the Hatton bout - Ricky called him out, Floyd immediately made the fight. Bam! No hickups. I can go on and on with all the details of the negotiations over the years, but we've been there done that. So let's just agree to disagree about Floyd being very selective, opportunistic and ultra-cautious with the match making in his career.

It's like this - imagine that over the past 5 years or so Wlad stood alone as the money man in the division and was seen as the "face of boxing" by the American media (some see him as a top ten p4p ATG, some even as the best ever). Along the way, there were 3 or 4 proven contenders that would've been serious challenges to Wlad. Yet he finds ways to avoid them and fights lesser opponents, usually once a year (sometimes twice). Every fight is a $60PPV.

It's just comparing apples to oranges my friend.

He has been using that excuse for 2 years now. He has not fought nothing but tomato cans since his fight with Haye. Time to come up with a new excuse. The problem is Wlad does not want to risk getting hit. Never seen a heavyweight champion fight this many set up fights in a row. And him fighting Povetkin next is a easy fight too. Wlad is making the the titles worthless.

I disagree. This fight will not be forgiven. Povetkin is a tomato can also.

See Joe Louis, Larry Holmes, Mike Tyson - shit even Ali had some scrubs on his resume. This has been repeated throughout boxing history.

Again I say this - if Wlad was only fighting once a year and it was against a cherrypicked opponent (while there were other willing, proven contenders out there we all wanted to see him fight) - but Wlad fought 3 times last year and will repeat that this year. In between a few shitty stay busy fights, he gets in there with a David haye, Alexander Povetkin, Ruslan Chagaev, etc.

Pianeta is shit, but I'd rather Wlad fight him then not fight at all. I'd rather Wlad fight him then Holyfield, Bowe, McCall, Toney or any of the other shot old ****s that continue to linger on. It's a shitty situation, but it could be worse.
