Floyd is overrated too, he too has tripled his market value because of beating over the hill greats.

Manny isn't that great. He didn't become good until all the real greats got old.

Barrera was clearly close enough to his prime for Manny's performance to deserve praise of greatness. Since I can't picture any other featherweight making the jumps he did, I'd say he's great. He was considered great even before the DLH fight, and now he's almost exclusively judged by his welterweight run when that was really just supposed to be an accessory.

Pacquiao and Mayweather are both all time greats - the 2 greatest of their generation. We'll never know who was the best. Mayweather has picked opponents carefully and a great resume pre-2007 has become a joke resume since he became a Welterweight.

Pacquiao has gone through division after division with some explosive performances against much bigger guys he had no right to be in the ring with. People go on about catchweights but these guys were still much bigger - he has a great resume and the only thing missing was Mayweather - now obviously revenge against Marquez is a priority

To me, Mayweather has more question marks considering how long he has been a welterweight and the fighters he has avoided in their prime in the same division as himself but they are both the best of this generation

Marquez could not deal with them. He did not get close to stopping Pacman or even knocking him down until Manny starts to diminish. That had to do with the knockout in December, although it was a great win.

It's not like Pac was on his way to racking up the most consecutive points he ever had between the two against a 39 year old right?

Every thread that has JMM even mentioned turns into a Pac hate thread. Got to love ESB. Actually getting me to not like JMM anymore which I guess is how people feel about "pactards" ironically.

I think you'll find most Marquez fans on the forum (nearly all in fact) are also Pac fans and enjoy watching him fight and respect his accomplishments. If Pac weren't great, JMM's win(s) wouldn't mean much. It's the flomos who use Marquez as their sword and shield and completely disparage Pacquiao.

And in turn use Marquez' win as a proxy victory for Floyd even if he never had the gall to step in the ring with Pac.

You can thank for the Pacturds for that, for entering every JMM thread to talk shit about him.

As a matter of fact, this thread was started to pretty much bash on JMM...started by a Pacturd of course.

News flash, dumbass.

Marquez is older and probably more passed it than Pacquiao and was fighting several divisions above his prime weight not only that but Pac was looking the best he had ever looked in years, while Marquez was arguably looking the slowest he has ever looked.

Ring IQ, counterpunching ability, the ability to stay calm under pressure, and brilliant timing is what got him the victory.

Funny how you like saying manny was so past it, yet you come in and celebrate your hero Hearn's KO victory over Duran, who he himself was passed it, and several divisions above his best weight while Tommy was dead in his prime at his peak weight.

Dumb hypocrite bitch.

Marquez only has a PUNCHERS CHANCE against Hearns and that is all. If he doesn't land the big KO punch VERY early, Hearns will make a meal out of Marquez like no other opponent.

Who will do the worst against Marquez? Robinson and Duran.
