Lewis is still running!!! Angelo Dundee said that Vitali was cheated out of the WBC belt that night. Ask Lewis why he refused to fight Vitali and why wasn't the fight stopped because of Lewis' badly broken nose? Lewis was staggered more than once, Vitali was never staggered. Lewis was ready to go and Lewis knows it too.........................

Marciano had much worse cuts than that. How we are seeing fights stopped because of a broken nose, so according to those rules Lewis should have lost. Good think Lewis' promoter, doctor, ref were to protect him. Max knew it also, not to mention many others..........................that's why Lewis refused to rematch for the biggest payday in boxing history...............Lewis, a coward, he should fight Vitali now....................but he will run for the rest of his life. Vitali was ahead on the cards, staggered Lewis, too the fight on 10 days notice and still kicked Lewis arse. Lewis was done for.....................and so ended Lewis' career..................

Lewis was really putting it on Vitali in 5 and 6, just busting him up. that uppercut in the 6th seemed to drain a lot out of Vitali. both were tired but it was Vitali who was looking the most dejected. give Lewis a couple more rounds and it's over.

8th round stoppage. and still champ... Lennox lewis.
