Didn't Oscar say he wanted the Cotto-margarito winner with unvocalized expectations that it would be Cotto who wins? We know how that turned out, and he decides against fighting marg since marg was a weak draw.

No one was interested in a P Williams fight save marg. Cotto used his hype to overlook this fight, and pacquiao chose to fight marg over Paul. Even Mosley wasn't interested.

It was difficult to negotiate with Oscar. A lot of guys either never received offers or refused to even fight him for the amount of the total purse they would receive. A lot like some of the Klitschko stories that have been popping up.

Because Oscar is a notorious ducker and ducked all the greatest challenges out there. Obviously, Dipset.
That was pretty much exactly what happened, I think. Oscar was only there for the big money and he had assumed Cotto would win and he was the only Oscar-money between the two. So, when Margarito won, Oscar was never really planning to fight him, I suspect. |

Why didn't Oscar fight them? Because Oscar was busy fighting Legends, ATGs, Champions, and quite frankly, much better fighters.
