I've always through Frampton would win, but I now believe he'll stop Kiko. Not a definite, of course, but I think the whole throat-slitting thing suggests Kiko's not trying to intimidate Carl, but get himself feeling right.
Never read too much into that, but whenever I see that gesture, I just think it's a weak man trying to play strong. |

I mean in the sense that he's more experienced. He looked out of his depth when he came to Britain last time to fight Munroe. This time he's coming in more seasoned and will know what to do and how to handle the aggressive crowd. If Martinez comes in on top form then Frampton will have a lot to do IMO. I certainly don't think it's going to be a walk in the park for Carl at all. If it does turn out that way I'll be very surprised indeed.

Frampton looks good in this video... All fighters look good on their highlights
![]() Frampton is by far more skilled than Martinez, and has a better footwork, but if he is overconfident... could pay for it. His stance remembers me a mini-vitali with this low right hand; this right hand could be a serious flaw if Kiko is able to time the left hook as he enters. We'll see tonight. Can't wait for the fight. I'll be supporting Kiko on TV. I hope he will do better than Campillo last month

Great stoppage for Frampton, sends out a statement, he's now stopped Molitor and Martinez in his last two fights, the Quigg fight should definitely happen now it seems like it will after having Scott Quigg on Sky hyping the fight.
I just thought Frampton would have too much speed, energy, power and combinations for Martinez and that's as it showed. The undercard fights weren't great though, easy win for Selby and Andy Lee looked pretty awful, credit to Fitzgerald but Lee should be looking good against a guy like that if he thinks he's anywhere around world level. |
