[quote=Flea Man;13916509]Nice thread.
Nazarov is my favourite and the toughest. Tszyu the harder puncher and arguably the most accomplished of the three although the stiffest and my least favourite. Arbachakov is the flat out best all-round of the three IMO. Arbachakov, like many other little guys 80s onwards, struggles because he didn't unify.[/quote/ Tszyu did fight some pretty good opponents, got a few big money fights, But i agree with you that Nasarov was tougher. |

Watched Grigorian - Jakubowski & Clark today.
No wonder Lora likes Arthur. Good movement, smooth style, very well-schooled kalule-fisted fighter. Grigorian certainly was a quality technician. Grigorian's title-winning fight versus Antonio Rivera sounds like an interesting bout. Grigorian was dropped in the last round but he got up and knocked Rivera out. |

Artur Grigorian's childhood nickname was "Skeleton" cuz he was a very thin boy.
Started boxing at the age of 11. 24-11-1978 is the exact date of Artur's first day as a boxer. Sparred with Kostya and Orzubek as an amateur. He got his nickname "King" fighting in Germany in some kind of national amateur boxing league in 1992-1993 before he turned professional. 20 fights (19-1 (lost to Urkal)). Seriously injured his shoulder and had surgery after David Armstrong fight. He had another shoulder injury in the fight against Zegan and fought with one hand for 10 rounds. He had another surgery before the Freitas fight. |

Yuri was excellent in the first Kittikasem fight but was slightly inexperienced.
Just wasn't mentally ready to abandon his pure boxer-type approach if necessary. Stayed in a strict boxing mode too much for my liking. Although most probably it was the right thing to do. First knockdown in the 8th round of the Kittikasem rematch was excellent - picture perfect right going backwards. Richard "2 seconds" Steele really deserves a mention - fans of Meldrick Taylor would really enjoy watching Yuri-Kittikasem 2. |
