Well...
The sad thing is Golota once had deceptively good hand speed and a superb jab. His hand speed was already past-peak by the time of the Grant fight, and it was affected more so thereafter with the injury that ruined his jab. But he still had respectable quickness in his hands between '99-'04, both before and after the break marked by the Tyson debacle. Then it was very strange, because Andrew's speed abandoned him at an alarming pace, and he's been a total non-factor ever since the Brewster fiasco. Some fighters just lose steam suddenly and abruptly, and this was especially pronounced in Golota's situation. I just hope he can make a decent account of himself. |
