For my two bobs worth Danny Green fighting a shot to shit Briggs was the lowest point in latter day boxing history ( worldwide ) these type of fights were outlawed via governing boards and licensing committees for a reason but Team Green had no qualms organising and promoting such a fight , IMO Green was an honest fighter as a young man but of late he and his career has been an utter sham . SBW v Botha don't even come close .

Yeah Green vs Briggs was a farce, you wouldn't even get that fight matched at an amateur tournament, obviously Hyder didn't think that one out.

I'm with you on this one mate, the last thing I was expecting was Briggs to take a dive like that, I was so pumped for the fight and devastated when that happened as I thought even a slightly out-of-shape Briggs would give all he had against Green.

I wasn't aware of his mental issues at that time, and I'm still not 100% sure I understand exactly what's wrong with him, as he seems to cope fine when he's commentating the fights.

Green's anger appeared genuine to me.

IMO SBW vs Botha is worse.

You're either an idiot or confusing forum chatter about how a Green/Briggs prime for prime fight would have went.

Noone here, nor anywhere else thought Briggs had any sort of chance.

Briggs Green was a big farce. bigger than the botha fight IMO.

I think some things went wrong in the botha fight, and then clutching at straws each side was trying to quench the other with accusations...

No doubt anything that involves that cumsucking slimeball Nasser will tarnish aussie boxing. They should ban him from promoting boxing.

For farces that took place between the ropes Danny Green vs Paul Briggs is the worst I can remember. Though Anthony Mundine vs Lester Ellis was also a disgrace.

It terms of all-round farces, Sonny Bill Williams vs Frans Botha is one with all the trimmings. It's also been the ideal platform for Khoder Nasser to show Australia and a couple of other parts of the world his true colours, smelly as they are.

Maybe hoping Briggs would win I was anyway after talking Hopkins,America the world and fighting a junkie and a guy coming off a 3 1/2 year layoff. But most people here thought Green would win.

Lester Ellis was coming off a 6 year break, but although he was absolutely shot to bits from booze and whatever else he wasn't as bad as Briggs.
