Default Romero beats Lopez via SD for Vacant IBF - Framptons next opponent??

This wet under the radar but last night in Mexico Jonathan Romero (23-0 12KOs) beat Alejandro Lopez via and SD. Possible future and maybe even next oppone t for Carl Frampton.

I was super impressed with Romero.Wasn't expecting much though on first viewing from both boxers so maybe that contributed to that.

It was obviously a UD but fighting a Tijuana guy in Tijuana you are lucky to get a SD aswell.

How would you see a Frampton fight going?

I've only seen both guys fight once in their last fights and I don't make predictions without seeing both guys several tims but based on these fights I'd pick Romero.

Tall rangy boxer who puts on inteligent pressure behind a good jab, hard stright right hand, fights good on the isnide aswell when shortening his punches, good variation aswell.Dont know about his whiskers though.
I would see him do well aginst Frampton's defensive mistakes.

Romero looks like he's got a glass jaw, he's a tidy boxer but looks uncomfortable under any sort of pressure, Frampton would knock him out.

i agree , plus Frampton can fight on the front and back foot, hes already nullified a mexican whose gone on to get a decent win , just a bit more sharpening of his defence.

Actually Framptons win over Martinez reminded me a bit of Watson - Benn
