Default David Price will win by KO within 2 rounds?

- Thompson is FOURTY TWO years old in a couple of months
- in his last fight against Wlad after the first meaningful connection The Tiger was keen to rollover and take the paycheck

I think Price is a very limited boxer and the first competent pressure fighter he faces wil KO him - but until then I am keen to keep making money from him.

I won big on Price vs Skelton, Harrison & ***ton

Thompson is better than these guys, but he simply doesn't care anymore.

150 on Price to win within 2

Sensible??

Probably not quick IMO, Thompson won't be stupid enough to stand directly in front of David and trade. He'll move around a lot and it'll be up to David to catch him with one. I reckon the 4th will be the round he gets him.

I'm playing it safe, 100 on Price inside 6, 60 winnings. 2 rounds is a bit too quick imo but i wouldn't rule it out.

Don't see this being finished before the sixth. Thompson is durable and seems to genuinely think he has a chance. A late stoppage or a wide points win is very likely. If he does blast him out then all power to him but he needs rounds this year.

If Price wins I'd like to see him fight Kevin Johnson next as he's slightly better than Thompson, awkward and has fought Fury recently. It would be a good comparison based fight with a top ten heavyweight.

Alas he'll probably fight Sprott.

He may not care anymore, but I'm inclined to believe he does and that Klitschko has a special hold over him. Tony is a strong personality-he's not a puncher but he gets the knockouts, he has horrible age deficit as soon as he first laces them up in his life time but he works his way to a title shot twice. That's the kind of fellow you're dealing with. A lot of fighters considered him high risk/low reward, and consequently are not on his resume. They had good reasons for that.

But some of the interviews he gave after the first Klitschko fight and before the second, even though he wanted another crack at it very badly, he was saying things like "Nobody in my life ever broke me mentally and physically the way Klitschko did." Now, don't get me wrong, I like Thompson and I have a bias to want to believe he's going to show up for a fight, but I do understand it looks like the perfect ingredients for a cash-out type attempt. I just suspect that maybe Klitschko had become a mental hurdle as much as a physical one as soon as he started showing Thompson no respect in the second-which is so un-Klitschkolike that it must have been highly off-putting. Anyway, let's just hope for the best fight-good effort for Thompson, good rounds for Price, yeah?

I put a tenner on rounds 7-12 at 4/1.

He may be 42 but he's a step up from Price's last few. Skelton is 46 and wanted to trade. Audley Harrison is 41 and well....he's Audley...

Then you've got ***ton, McDermott and Dallas. Thompson, even now, is better than these guys and I think he'll last until the second half of the fight.

Price probably wants the rounds too so isn't going to go out there looking for the KO straight away.

I think 4/1 is pretty sweet odds for Price 7-12.

I expect Tony to make it to the early 2nd half of the bout. Maybe even become Price's longest fight to date.
Clearly the best opponent he has faced thus far.

Price will be fired up for this one and infront of about 8,000 of his fans, this will most likely be Price at his best, no way is this lasting more than 6 rounds.

Backed Price to stop Thompson rounds 4-6 at 23/10.

No bias there at all.

I don't think that Thompson has the power to test Price's chin- I actually don't think his chin will be tested until he gets a title shot.

I think Thompson could make it awkward for a few rounds and make it to the second half of the fight. If Price does blast him out within two rounds i think Maloney should make a fight with Johnson sharpish just so Price gets a fight where he knows he will have to go through the rounds and not bash him out. I know Johnson did sweet fa in the fury fight but he still went the distance and rounds is what price needs at the moment.

This.

How many lefties has price fought?? He could be a hatton and be awful against them for the most part in which case Thompson will fancy his chances. I think this a better fight that Kingpin just due to the fact that Thompson is physically bigger but both are good learning fights. If wald took 6 rounds i think Price will take a bit longer hes more aggresive and more fluid but he might get tagged more by Thompson ill say Round 7 KO
