Default Re: David Price will win by KO within 2 rounds?

I think Thompson could make it awkward for a few rounds and make it to the second half of the fight. If Price does blast him out within two rounds i think Maloney should make a fight with Johnson sharpish just so Price gets a fight where he knows he will have to go through the rounds and not bash him out. I know Johnson did sweet fa in the fury fight but he still went the distance and rounds is what price needs at the moment.

This.

How many lefties has price fought?? He could be a hatton and be awful against them for the most part in which case Thompson will fancy his chances. I think this a better fight that Kingpin just due to the fact that Thompson is physically bigger but both are good learning fights. If wald took 6 rounds i think Price will take a bit longer hes more aggresive and more fluid but he might get tagged more by Thompson ill say Round 7 KO

Thompson is made to order for Price's right hand. Cagey jabbing for a round / 2 and then Price starts to throw 1-2s and one lands on Thompson, who backs up in straight lines and then its over.

If Thompson is chinned in say 4 rounds, I dont see the problem with say fighting Johnson in early to mid may then fight Chisora late july as the last date before the summer break.

David Price is not a limited fighter, his punch resistant is just very suspect, and ability to fight under extreme pressure is suspect.

Good point, but in all fairness Wlad could have took Thompson out earlier imo.

Price inside 4. Without a shadow of a doubt in my mind.

David Price is the most powerful puncher in the heavyweight division today. Best of it is, even David Price doesn't know how powerful he is. When he does, you might aswell avoid the division for the next 10 years. He will dominate it.

The division is already piss poor now, and has been for a number of years, whats it going to be like when the Klitschko's retire? A rat race if ever I saw one. Audley may even have a chance!

And because the Tony Thompson thread was closed (this post was meant for that thread)

I say Tony Thompson is right, make drugs legal for the heavyweight division. Wilder can sort out his chicken legs, Tyson Fury can be in Alistair Overeem shape for every fight, and Audley can walk to the ring smoking a spliff.

I say Price KO but I think he could be rumbled due to the southpaw stance, experience and power.

I think 3 rounds now. Safer bet.

Thompson is good enough to avoid being blasted out like Harrison and will probably be cagey for first couple of rounds.

However, I think the first time he tastes Prices's power, the old man will not want any part of it and fall rather easily to the floor and make very limited effort to get up

Hopefully this trilogy of 40 something's will be the end of the line for Price and he will start taking on opponents in their 30s after this

Depends how motivated Thompson is. My guess? Not very.

Anyone know if or why this is scheduled for 12 rounds (according to boxrec, bet365)? As far as I know there's no noddy title attached.

Thompson will zimmer frame around the ring hoping to make it to 12 without too much of a fight.

Don't understand why people put up what cash they're going to bet and ask if its sensible. Only you know what you can afford to lose. Some folk I know would live for 2 or 3 weeks on 150 quid and losing that cash would be a crisis. Other folk I know would spend 150 on a belt and could lose 150 dropping it in the pub and wouldn't notice.

If Price needs a few rounds and his chin testing then Chisora is the man. Plenty of money in it for both fighters too.
