Charity shield was as expected. A bit of rust and errors. Didn't seem like both teams had an off season though as both looked very similar to how they ended last season.
We do instead for 65 minutes and had a 10 minute switch off period which was typical of how we went in 2012.
I'm happy with the performance though and the yougens went alright.

Geez Keary looks like a kid amongst the first graders. Still reckon he's a season away but he's a talent.

footy is back? , if the first 55 mins of that game has anything to go by

than the referee will have alot of impact on 2013 nrl season,

alot of penalty's given out tonight.. it was BS ....i got sick of hearing the wistle and turned it over to the cricket for lil spells.

The refs always have some sort of Impact mate, unfortunately we're just starved of quality in that department at the moment.

The game was nothing flashy, but souths looked similar to their 2012 form which is better than the way we started 2012. I'm confident leading into 2013. No injuries, a bit of ring rust let out... Should be good.
Up until now, I wasn't even anticipating league, but I'm glad it's back and I'm looking forward to the season ahead.

1 thing i noticed about souths and why they will be aforce this year they have picked up on thier defence and the speed, apart from the front rowers, every player has speed and bulk, top 4 team

PED's. Souths top 4 Dragons 10th or worse Melbourne were great might go back to back. St.Georges defence has got worse under Price.

So the Roosters promised fox sports a "bumper crowd" to get this trial televised? There's barely 2000 people there. Lol
