Btw Lebron is clearly a better defender than Wade. At the end of every close game in the 4th quarter he guards the opposing teams best player and has shut them all down (kyrie, kobe, harden etc...). Part of the reason the Heat have such a good record in close games. |

Lebron is better imo. Early in the season he was coasting on defense and mAybe wade was better but during their 11 game streak Lebron has been better defensively. Not to mention James has to carry a bigger burden on offense.

I do think Lebron is better but clearly? I disagree. Both are damn good defenders. I think Wade has better lateral movement, a better shot blocker, just as good in the passing lanes. I think Lebron is a way better help defender though. Wade has played a big role as well. I think he is leading the team in most major categories in the 4th quarter in this 11 game win streak.

Wade has been a better defender over the past month is what I said. Even so, Wade was regarded the better defender of the two before they joined up. Wade regressed while Lebron got better. Now, Wade is playing D. like he did before. Lebron has been the more consistent player and defender, but Wade has always had the potential and instints to be a better defender than Lebron, and has been as of late.

The only player Phil's Bulls had that Collin's didn't have was a prominant role for BJ Armstrong. Now are you really trying to claim that BJ was the missing piece? Del Harris had the exact same roster Phil had in LA as well. Phil won titles Del didn't. Then when Phil retired Rudy Tomjonovich took over as well as Hamblen when Rudy quit and they didn't do shit. Phil comes back with the same squad and wins more championships. Then they fire Phil and Mike Brown takes over the same team and does worse. |

Del Harris had a rookie Kobe that was hardly ready for the NBA. Once Kobe blossomed then they gave the keys of the team to phil jackson. 2002-03 season the lakers finished fifth and eliminated in the conf. semis. They made the finals the next year but lost. Phil retired and when rudy took over he had kobe and a bunch of average players with no shaq oneal. When Phil came back they were average and finished third in their division and were eliminated in the first round two years in a row. It wasnt until memphis gift wrapped gasol to the lakers for a bunch of scrubs and some draft picks that they were able to get better. So once again it is proven that phil jackson can win with a loaded roster and is average with one that isnt. And to end this debate Lebron James has been in the league for 10 yrs and couldnt win a title until spoelstra started coaching him.
