Default First Big Live Fight

Helloo ESB, I'm headed to the Barclays center in a week to see the Hopkins card. I've never seen a high profile fight live, and I plan to stay for the full card. Any tips on how to get the most out of the experience?

Curious if going early/staying late pays off, or anything fight veterans could tell me. I'm incredibly excited about this, seats are good and the fights should be great. Any help is appreciated.

Definitely get to the arena early. You paid for the full card, you might as well watch it. Plus, promoters like to showcase some prospects on the undercard, so you might get to see a future contender or star.

Keep a round by round score, then rewatch the fight on TV later. It is surprising how many times I've scored rounds differently from my seat than from my couch.

Have fun and don't be afraid to talk to the people around you. I've met some cool fight fans and heard some cool stories.

Round By Round score for sure, I watched Johnson beat Tarvers ass though I was supporting Tarver in the first fight, Tarver lost that only to come home and watch it on HBO and listen to how everybody thought Tarver won....

Even the forums here felt he won.... But ringside no ****ing way did he win...

Sadly got the ticket for my 20th birthday not 21st so I'll pregame, but it'll be a long dry night for me. Yeah I was thinking of bringing a small pad and pen, wondering if that was out of the ordinary but the responses have been reassuring. Never been a huge Hopkins fan but hes tricky as hell to score so that should be entertainment if the fight isn't!

Go early and stay for all of the fights. Many times the short, non-televised fights are good scraps too.
