Default Eemeli Katajisto

Eemeli Katajisto
light heavyweight

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

210 amateurs fights (180 wins)
6x time champion of Finland
3x time champion of scandinavia
And he won many internatiol tournaments and represented Finland in worldchampionships.

Turned pro earlier this year and now it was only his 3rd fight but looks so promising! This Hantak went to the distance against Sauerland's nightmare Tony Averlant earlier this year (and some other decent european competors) but against Katajisto he had no chance at all. Opponent was poor but you can see: Talent is there! What do you think guys?

I agree, heīs good.

I also think this whole card was like a breath of fresh air into the Finnish scene.

Tatli remains untested, after fighting WBO #12 and EU challenger. Maybe both guys had a glass chin, but his left hook looks seriously good IMO. And I do not mean that itīs the hardest in the world, I mean the way he uses it.

Jokinen got what he truly needed. Haters will say that Baghban was poor, but the truth is that he has beaten Ribchev and managed to prove himself as a warrior by battering Jokinen a bit on the first minute. Itīs not Jokinenīs fault that he ran into his left hook, which was pretty damn good as the guy was 100% drunk despite getting up.

Katajisto looks very good, you can accept these vegetable salesmen in his early fights as a pro.

Honestly, Iīm beginning to think the Finnish scene stands a chance after Asikainen. Haapoja might not make it next weekend, but Tatli and Jokinen just got a big boost.

What has happened in Scandinavia these past few years? They are pushing through a ridiculous amount of prospects from Finland, Denmark, Sweden and even Norway are getting in on it. Really promising time for that part of the world.

two weeks and Katajisto back in the ring against Farouk Daku (16-4 8ko)
Good opponent for his 5th right.

That Sauerland has filled the void that Team Palle left behind

He has a good left hook. He throws it with quite fast and powerful in practice.

Is pro boxing still forbidden in Sweden?

he looks like a legit prospect, great jab and decent bodywork, good power, if he is managed the right way he may become a force at LHW

It has been legal again since 2007, but a fight can at most last 12 minutes, unless a special permission is given.

What ratings does Kessler have?
Wouldnt mind Katajisto getting on Nordic Fight Night too .

I think the ratings is to be explained by the Danish public been hard to please. They are very quality-minded.

Kessler ratings are great.

He won his last match but it werent against the fighter from Uganda he was supposed to fight.

He could not fight cause of injury or manager prolems so he got replaced with some journeyman and Katajisto beat him.
